Merry Mint Mocha Votive Set vs 50 oz Candle: Which Size to Buy

Two formats, one scent: the real decision

Both the Merry Mint Mocha Votive Set and the Merry Mint Mocha Candle deliver the same mint-and-mocha holiday fragrance, so the choice comes down to format, placement, and how you plan to use or give the candle. The votive set gives you three compact candles to spread around; the 50 oz option is a single large jar for one statement spot. Neither is inherently better—they solve different problems.

This comparison sticks to what the product records confirm. Where a detail like burn time or care instructions isn't supplied, I'll flag it as a limitation rather than guess.

What each format actually includes

• Merry Mint Mocha Votive Set: Set includes three votive candles in a compact mini size. Three small candles let you place scent in multiple spots—shelves, tabletops, or guest rooms—without committing to one large jar.

• Merry Mint Mocha Candle: Available in multiple sizes, including 6 oz, 8.5 oz, and 50 oz candle options. The 50 oz is the largest single-jar option in this scent, so it suits a primary focal point rather than scattered placement.

Placement: scattered vs. statement

The votive set's compact size is explicitly described as ideal for small spaces, shelves, or tabletops. That makes it easy to add a subtle, warming fragrance around the home—one votive on a entryway table, another on a bathroom shelf, a third near a seating area. The 50 oz candle, by contrast, is a single large jar; its size makes it a natural centerpiece for a living room or open kitchen, but it won't be as easy to distribute across rooms.

• Merry Mint Mocha Votive Set: Three mini candles for flexible, multi-spot placement. Best when you want scent in several small areas or a low-commitment way to try the fragrance.
• Merry Mint Mocha 50 oz Candle: One large jar for a single, prominent location. Best when you have a dedicated spot and prefer a consistent scent presence there.

Gifting: variety vs. one generous jar

The votive set is described as a thoughtful gift for candle lovers during the holidays, and its three-piece format gives the recipient options—they can use all three at once or save some for later. The 50 oz candle is also part of the Snif candle collection and is positioned for gifting or personal use, but as a single large item it reads more as a statement gift. If you're unsure about the recipient's space or scent preferences, the votive set is the lower-commitment choice; if you know they love a bold, central candle, the 50 oz delivers.

Price and value context

• Merry Mint Mocha Votive Set: Catalog price is USD 9.50 (comparison price USD 19.00). At the lower price point, the votive set is an easy way to try the scent or build small gifts without a large spend.
• Merry Mint Mocha Candle: Catalog price is USD 17.00 (comparison price USD 34.00). The 50 oz option costs more upfront but gives you one large candle; whether that's better value depends on how you'll use it.

What the records don't tell you

The supplied information does not include burn times, wax type, wick details, or specific care instructions for either format. That means I can't tell you how long each will last or give step-by-step burning guidance beyond general caution. If those details matter to your decision—for example, if you need a candle to last a certain number of evenings—check the product pages or packaging for the manufacturer's current instructions before buying. The absence of that data here isn't a mark against either candle; it's simply outside the verified scope of this comparison.

How to choose

Pick the votive set if you want to spread holiday scent across several small spaces, prefer a lower upfront cost, or need a flexible gift that lets the recipient decide how much to use. Pick the 50 oz candle if you have one large surface that anchors your room, want a single jar that makes a visual statement, or already know you love the Merry Mint Mocha scent and want it in a generous size. Both share the same minty-mocha profile, so the deciding factors are placement, gifting style, and budget—not scent.
